Fine Art and the many forms surrounded by it have always captivated Victoria Machin. Born in Madrid, Spain she always dreamed of expressing her love and creativity to others by creating art that would be fascinating and communicative to the viewer. Her photographs are often illustrative, making the viewer explore and connect with the images.
Victoria’s experiences in different media have greatly shaped her approach to her art in photography. She has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Communication in Arts from St. Thomas University, and an Associate in Science degree from the Ft. Lauderdale Art Institute in Photography and obtained an Associates in Fine Arts from International Fine Arts College. She also studied Fine Art in Assisi, Italy where she was mostly inspired by the fine art and photography there.
These experiences have exposed her to works that continue to influence the painterly quality and structure she tries to achieve in her work today. One of Victoria’s most exciting and recent projects that she has explored in is her underwater portrait. At once uncanny and mysterious, the underwater portraits in Victoria’s photographs transform the pool into studio and stage, creating a magic of weightlessness imagery with beautiful ballerinas, engagement couples, to fun and creative family shots… taking underwater photography to new heights. They appear before the camera as though borrowed from a dream. Whether in single portraits or as part of a larger composite, Victoria’s work is unique, and has a distinctive signature style…as she is always focused on her continued high standards and positive client feedback which is the result of her growing business.
